America's Cup World Series Finale July 1

June 29 - Day 2 America's Cup World Series Racing

It was all about Oracle Team USA on Day 2 of America's Cup World Series racing in Newport!  On the second day of racing in Newport, Oracle Team USA Spithill continued their winning streak winning the Fleet Race.


The match race semi finals were dominated by TEAM USA making it an all America's Final on Sunday.  Stay tuned, the competition at the America's Cup World Series in Newport is just heating up!

America's Cup World Series Viewing


From Land:  The Fort Adams America's Cup Race Village is the best place from land.  General admission tickets during race days (June 28 – July 1) are $10 per person per day, with children 12 and under free.  Parking at the Fort is $20 during race days or you can hop on Oldport Marine's water taxi from downtown Newport.



From Sea:  View all the America's Cup action from aboard a former America's Cup contender.  We are offering sails from 2-5pm on June 28 to July 1 aboard our America's Cup 12 Meter yachts. Tickets are $125/person and include race viewing followed by interactive sailing aboard our 12 Meter yachts.  Evening Sail Cruises also available June 28 to July 1!

America's Cup Race Village Opens in Newport

The America's Cup World Series Race Village opened today, Saturday, June 23 at Fort Adams in Newport.  The America's Cup Village will be open June 23-27: 11am-5pm; June 28 – July 1: 11am-7pm.  Here is the map of the race village.

Newport to Bermuda Race Results

And the winner is...


Carina leading the pack at the start in Newport!

Carina wins the coveted St. David's Lighthouse trophy in the Newport to Bermuda Race!  This is the third Lighthouse Trophy for Carina and the second in a row.  This ties Carina with Finisterre as the boat with the most lighthouses on her trophy rack.  Carina finished at 6:16PM in Bermuda and had a corrected time of 45:08:16. The US Naval Academy’s new Navy 44, Defiance, was second in Class 3 behind Carina and also second in the St. David’s Lighthouse Division.  For more about Carina's win and the full Bermuda Race Results visit their website.

Happy Summer Solstice from Newport, Rhode Island!


Today is the Summer Solstice for the Northern Hemisphere. The actual moment of the solstice will occur at about 7:09 p.m. this evening, while the sun sits directly above the Pacific Ocean to the west of Hawaii. It's the longest day of the year (and the shortest night).  Today we will have over 15 hours of daylight!
