Winter break...

After 185 sails and 120 days on the water, Heritage is hauled out and ready for a well deserved winter vacation!

Thank you to all 12 Meter Charters' guests, clients and supporters.  The 2010 season was another great year of sailing at 12 Meter Charters.  We welcomed many private parties, wedding events, corporate groups and individual sailors aboard to experience the thrill of America's Cup, 12 Meter sailing in Newport, Rhode Island.

In 2010 Columbia was the boat to beat; she again dominated the 12 Meter racing circuit. Team Columbia won their class in New York Yacht Club's Annual Regatta in Newport, the Top Gun Regatta in Newport, the Edgartown Race Week in Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket Race Week and the Opera House Cup in Nantucket, and the Classic Yacht Regatta in Newport. For the sixth time she won the Ted Hood Perpetual Trophy for the best Classic 12 Meter racing season performance.  Congratulations to team Columbia!

Team Heritage at the OHC Awards Ceremony

Heritage’s season was especially fantastic because of her crew! Whether they were sailing in Nantucket, Hyannis or Newport, whether it was a corporate team-building group, public sunset sail or private party, the Heritage team received rave reviews for their EXCELLENT customer service.  Heritage also continued her winning ways at Nantucket's Opera House Cup - she has the fastest time around the race course and was again, 1st to Finish at OHC 2010!

Looking forward to our last weekend of Fall sailing in Newport, RI!  Our America's Cup winner, Columbia, will be wrapping up her sailing season this weekend. 



Heritage waves farwell to Newport for the season!

Heritage and crew ended their sailing season this week and waved farewell to Newport!  She is headed to a boat yard in Marblehead, MA where she will spend the winter.  Thank you to all that sailed about Heritage this season!  We look forward to having you aboard in 2011!

Columbia sweeps the fleet!

Earlier this summer, Columbia not only won the Edgartown 12 Meter Regatta and the Nantucket 12 Meter Regatta, but she placed first in 9 out of 9 races! Watch out for Team Columbia in the upcoming Museum of Yachting Classic Yacht Regatta and 12 Meter North American Championships. She will be competing in both events in Newport this September.

Last weekend, Columbia and Heritage took first and second in the 12 Meter Division of the 38th Annual Opera House Cup. Heritage was also the first to finish and the fastest boat around the course! Congratulations to our speedy teams!

Our America's Cup winner Columbia won the Edgartown 12 Meter Regatta last weekend in Martha's Vineyard!  Team Columbia blew the competition away taking first place in 5 of 5 races!  Congratulations Team Columbia!
