Commodore Henry Sears formed the New York Yacht Club's primary syndicate for the 1958 America's Cup and commissioned Columbia to be their racer. Included on the Columbia syndicate was Gerard B. Lambert. This year Mr. Lambert will be inducted into the America's Cup Hall of Fame.
