Sail Aboard Heritage in Newport!

Sundog Sighting in Newport!

Earlier this week guests aboard Heritage saw a Sundog during their evening sail!  No, we are not talking about the four legged kind of a dog. We are talking about a Parhelion, commonly called a Sundog. Meaning "beside the sun," Parhelion phenomenon is where the sun shines through ice crystals in cirrus clouds creating a partial halo around the sun.  Check out our Newport Sundog photos and read more about Sundogs here.  It is amazing what you can see on a 12 Meter sail!

Newport is getting Folksy this Weekend!

Come aboard our America's Cup 12 Meter yachts this weekend and as an added bonus you'll get a taste of some great tunes! This weekend, July 28 and 29, Newport's Folk Festival will be held at Fort Adams State Park overlooking Narragansett Bay.

The music will be playing from 11:30am to 7:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday at the waterfront festival. Aboard our 12 Meter yachts you will get a glimpse of the sights and sounds of the festival as you enjoy sailing on beautiful Narragansett Bay. Come to Newport this weekend for fantastic, folksy fun aboard our America’s Cup yachts!

Team Rhode Show Sails in Newport!

Last Friday, 12 Meter Charters sailed on to the Rhode Show.  Hosts Michaela Johnson, Will Gilbert and Mary Larsen learned to sail aboard our 12 Meter yacht, Heritage, earlier this summer.
