And the winner is...

Carina leading the pack at the start in Newport!

Carina wins the coveted St. David's Lighthouse trophy in the Newport to Bermuda Race!  This is the third Lighthouse Trophy for Carina and the second in a row.  This ties Carina with Finisterre as the boat with the most lighthouses on her trophy rack.  Carina finished at 6:16PM in Bermuda and had a corrected time of 45:08:16. The US Naval Academy’s new Navy 44, Defiance, was second in Class 3 behind Carina and also second in the St. David’s Lighthouse Division.  For more about Carina's win and the full Bermuda Race Results visit their website.

Rambler Smashes Newport to Bermuda Race Record

39 hours, 39 minutes and 18 seconds after they started in Newport, Rambler has finished the 625 mile Newport to Bermuda Race.  This is the third time in a row Rambler has been the first to finish the race but this time they smashed the previous record by 14 hours - that's a whopping 25% faster than the old record!  Averaging 17 knots it must have been a wet and wild ride.

Here are some shots of her charging at the start of the race in Newport followed by a video the with owner after finishing in Bermuda.  Congrats Team Rambler!
