"Great weather and calm seas contributed to the wonderful experience on board Heritage yesterday! All five of us had a terrific time out on the water! This boat is built for speed and not for comfort, so be prepared to move around to accommodate the crew movements and rigging changes. 

Definitely recommended for anyone that has that unfulfilled America's Cup dream. All of us had a chance to "man the helm"! Boat is 70,000lbs of sailing machine! Captain and Crew were very helpful with all aspects of the cruise. Hoisting the main sail is definitely not for the out of shape! The first few hoists were deceptively easy, then the going got HEAVIER and HEAVIER! Oh man, was I glad when they started using the winch!!! :)

Again, please keep in mind this boat was built for speed and not for comfort, but is definitely an excellent experience for anyone with dreams of being the Skipper of an America's Cup boat!"

12 Meter Charters Waves Goodbye to 2011!

The sun has set on another fabulous sailing season in Newport!  Thank you to all 12 Meter Charters' guests, clients and supporters.  The 2011 season was another great year of sailing on Narragansett Bay.  We welcomed many private parties, wedding events, corporate groups, and individual sailors aboard to experience the thrill of America's Cup, 12 Meter sailing in Newport, Rhode Island.    The 12 Meter Charters' season was fantastic because of our crew!  Whether it was a corporate team-building group, public sunset sail, or private party our team received rave reviews for their EXCELLENT customer service.  Here are just a few of this season's guest comments about the 12 Meter Charters’ team: “Great crew - informative and laid back. Loved It!!!

I had so much fun the staff was amazing!! If in Newport and never been on a 12 meter it is something you have to experience!! I couldn't believe how comfortable and relaxing it was! The staff made you feel like you were sailing with family! It felt like it was just as much my boat as there's from everything to running it to just relaxing in the sunset!

Ride of a life!

We had an excellent experience with 12m Charters! From the moment we booked until we got off the boat, we were treated with great care and had wonderful service. The staff and crew are very knowledgeable and enjoy their jobs. It was an exhilerating first sail - great weather out on the beautiful Newport water. Would definitely recommend!

GUEST COMMENT: "The Captain of the Heritage and his crew were very knowledgeable and taught us quite a few things about sailing that we had no knowledge of before. We were even able to act as crewmembers onboard and assist in sailing the Heritage. She's a beautiful boat and I recommend sailing with 12 Meter Charters anytime you're in Newport Harbor for the weekend. The price we paid was quite manageable and well worth the trip. We're now planning on sailing with them again every year and hoping to bring a few friends down with us in the process."
