Boatyard Update: Heritage Gets an Updated Shine!

This winter our America's Cup contender, Heritage, has been getting an updated look at Bristol Marine in Somerset, Massachusetts!  In 2014, she will feature many, many, many updates including a new bottom color, new deck color and a new shine.  Heritage was stripped completely down to her bare wood topsides and will have a completely new varnished shine this sailing season!

New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta - Go Team Columbia!

   

We are all about sailing speed today in Newport, Rhode Island!  12 Meter Columbia is prepped, practiced and race ready to complete in the New York Yacht Club's 158th Annual Regatta.  America's oldest regatta, this year's NYYC Annual Regatta is set to be the largest in history with 133 boats entered.  Look for our America's Cup Winner, Columbia on the race course this weekend in Newport!  Sail fast Team Columbia!

She's Back, Heritage arrives in Newport for the 2012 season!

Our bright hulled beauty Heritage is back in Newport!  She arrived late yesterday afternoon after a 12 hour sail from Marblehead, Massachusetts.  Here are a few shots from the long trip(thanks Captain Duncan!).  Welcome back Heritage!

Newport's Bike to Work Day!

Today is National Bike to Work Day and Newport, Rhode Island's second annual Bike to Work Day.  For the second year, 12 Meter Charters continued in our Eco-friendly ways and joined the pedaling!  Our team enjoyed a lovely early morning ride to our office on Bowen's Wharf/Bannister's Wharf.  Although the cobblestones were a bit bumpy, the ride was picturesque and a wonderful way to start our day in the city-by-the-sea.
